Program Statement: Institutional Commitment to Educational Excellence, Student Success, and Florida Workforce Needs
Destiny Dental Assisting Academy is committed to providing rigorous, career-focused education that prepares students for successful employment in the dental profession and contributes to the healthcare workforce needs of the State of Florida.
As a Florida-approved dental assisting institution, Destiny Dental Assisting Academy provides students with classroom instruction, laboratory training, and supervised clinical experience designed to develop the knowledge, technical skills, professionalism, and competency necessary for employment as dental assistants.
Our commitment to students is reflected in the following principles:
Transparent Admissions
Destiny Dental Assisting Academy maintains clear and transparent admissions requirements. Prospective students are provided with information regarding program requirements, tuition and fees, attendance expectations, curriculum, clinical requirements, and graduation requirements so that they can make informed decisions about enrollment.
Admissions decisions are based upon established program requirements and the applicant’s ability to meet the educational and clinical demands of the program. The Academy is committed to fair and lawful admissions practices.
Affordability and Cost Transparency
We recognize that students make an important financial investment in their education. Destiny Dental Assisting Academy is committed to providing prospective students with clear information regarding tuition, fees, program requirements, and other anticipated educational costs prior to enrollment.
As a focused career-training institution, our program is designed to provide students with concentrated education and practical training for entry into the dental assisting profession.
Student Outcomes and Workforce Preparation
Student success is central to our institutional mission. We believe that successful completion of a career-training program requires more than attendance; students must develop the knowledge, practical skills, professional conduct, and clinical competency expected in the workplace.
Our program incorporates classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experience to prepare students for the responsibilities of employment in a dental practice.
We monitor student progress throughout the program and require students to meet established academic, attendance, clinical, and competency requirements for graduation.
The Academy is committed to evaluating student and graduate outcomes and using that information to identify opportunities for continued improvement.
Academic and Clinical Rigor
Destiny Dental Assisting Academy is committed to maintaining meaningful academic and clinical standards.
Students are expected to demonstrate competency in the material and skills taught throughout the program. Instruction includes both the foundational knowledge necessary to understand dental assisting procedures and hands-on opportunities to apply that knowledge.
Particular emphasis is placed on patient safety, infection control, dental assisting procedures, radiography, professional conduct, communication, and the practical application of skills in a clinical environment.
Students must satisfy the Academy’s established requirements for successful completion of the program. We do not believe that students should receive a credential simply for completing a period of enrollment; graduates should demonstrate that they have acquired the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the profession.
Responsible Use of Technology and Artificial Intelligence
Destiny Dental Assisting Academy recognizes that technology, including artificial intelligence, is increasingly present in education and the healthcare workplace.
Technology may be used as a learning resource, but it does not replace the development and demonstration of a student’s own knowledge, clinical judgment, technical skills, and professional competence.
Our instructional approach emphasizes the ability of students to understand information, apply knowledge, demonstrate practical skills, and perform safely in a clinical environment.
Professionalism and Respectful Learning
Destiny Dental Assisting Academy is committed to maintaining a professional learning environment in which students are expected to demonstrate respect, accountability, integrity, and appropriate professional conduct.
Dental assistants work as members of a healthcare team and interact directly with patients and other healthcare professionals. Effective communication, reliability, professionalism, and respect are therefore important components of a student’s preparation for employment.
Commitment to Florida’s Workforce
Preparing students for Florida’s workforce is at the heart of Destiny Dental Assisting Academy’s mission.
Florida dental practices need qualified dental assistants who possess both technical skills and the professional attributes necessary to function effectively in a dental practice. Our program is specifically designed to prepare students for this career pathway.
Through classroom, laboratory, and clinical education, students develop skills applicable to the dental workplace, including dental assisting procedures, radiography, infection control, patient care, and professional workplace practices.
We are committed to providing education that responds to the needs of the dental profession and creates meaningful opportunities for students to enter the workforce with relevant, practical skills.
Continuous Improvement and Accountability
Destiny Dental Assisting Academy recognizes that maintaining public trust requires accountability, transparency, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We will continue to evaluate our curriculum, instructional practices, clinical experiences, student progress, and graduate outcomes. Feedback from students, clinical partners, dental professionals, and other appropriate stakeholders will be considered as we work to strengthen our educational program.
Our commitment is straightforward: to provide students with rigorous, practical, transparent, and workforce-focused education that prepares them for responsible participation in the dental profession and contributes to the healthcare workforce of Florida.
