Welcome to our About Us page. I'm Marney Corbin, Founder and Director of the Destiny Dental Assisting Academy. With a passion for teaching and continuous education, I have dedicated myself to providing students with the best learning experience possible. My team and I are committed to every student and want to make sure our students succeed.
Marney Corbin
Marney Corbin, RDH is a dedicated and highly experienced professional in the dental and education fields, currently serving as the Director and Lead Instructor of Destiny Dental Assisting Academy. With a strong foundation in dentistry and education, Marney holds an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Pensacola State College, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on teaching from Dominican College of San Rafael, and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of San Francisco.​

​Over the past 25 years, Marney has taught across a wide spectrum of age groups and educational settings from early childhood literacy programs to college-level dental science. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2005 and she served as Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator at Northwest Florida State College, where she developed and led courses in Dental Anatomy, Oral Pathology, Pharmacology, and Practice Management, while also supervising clinical rotations and acting as Interim Program Director. Her passion for STEM education and student engagement was recognized when she received the prestigious HSU Foundation STEM Teacher Excellence Award in 2024 for her work as a 7th Grade Life Science teacher at Liza Jackson Preparatory School. In addition to her active Florida Dental Hygiene License and DANB Certification, Marney has a Florida Teaching Certification in Biology and continues to contribute to the advancement of dental and science education through professional committees and advisory councils.
Tracee Hunt
Tracee Hunt, our incredible Instructor and Lab Coordinator, is a highly skilled dental professional with over two decades of experience in both general and surgical dentistry. Currently serving as the Lead Dental Assistant and Airway Ambassador at Complete Health Dentistry of the Emerald Coast in Shalimar, Florida, Tracee is known for her expertise in chairside assisting, surgical extractions, composite restorations, crowns and bridges, and 3D imaging. She plays a vital role in training staff, maintaining digital records, managing supply orders, and conducting sleep screenings and airway consulting—demonstrating a broad and evolving understanding of modern dental care.

Prior to her current role, Tracee was the Lead Surgical Assistant at Northwest Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Dallas, Georgia, where she worked for nearly 13 years across multiple locations. There, she specialized in surgical preparation, IV administration, patient monitoring, and assisting in a range of oral procedures. A graduate of the Medix School in Marietta, Georgia, Tracee has built a career grounded in clinical excellence, patient safety, and team leadership. Her dedication to continued learning and patient-centered care has made her a respected figure in the dental community.
